Title: Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Holds appropriate Ohio Teacher Certification or Licensure.

2. Ability to communicate with students and provide a variety of planned learning experiences.

3. Ability to structure a physical classroom environment conducive to learning.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

EVALUATION: Annually by the Building Principal.

JOB GOALS:

Provide leadership to students as they progress toward the fulfillment of their academic goals in a

school setting that promotes intellectual, emotional, psychological, and physical well-being and

maturity.

DUTIES:

General

⮚ Implements board of education and administrative policies, rules, regulations, and

directives.

⮚ Demonstrates professional growth.

⮚ Appropriately utilizes standardized test results.

⮚ Positively contributes to the welfare of the district.

⮚ Effectively utilizes special personnel.

⮚ Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and

facilities.

⮚ Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and

administrative regulations.

⮚ Effectively completes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preparation/Lesson Design

⮚ Develops lesson plans that support course of study objectives, address student’s potential and

individual needs.

⮚ Effectively utilizes elements of lesson design.

⮚ Appropriately plans for assessment activities.

⮚ Appropriately plans for student intervention.

Curriculum

⮚ Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter.

⮚ Teaches to course of study objectives

Terms of Employment

⮚ Salary and work year as well as terms and conditions of employment to be determined by the East

Knox Local Board of Education in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code and the negotiated

agreement.
