Position Description
Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Qualifications: Must be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have a certification as a BCBA from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
Location: Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 and other administered service areas
Job Goal: To assist with developing an intense behavioral service treatment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Design and monitor discrete trials for clients.
2. Provide evidenced based behavioral therapy for clients.
3. Design and monitor applied behavior analysis programs for clients.
4. Conduct FBA’s and report finding to families, school staff, etc.
5. Assist with developing, writing and directing the implementation of a behavior management plan, which addresses the specific needs of an assigned clients.
6. Utilize the collaborative treatment planning process, which includes all involved parties in identifying needs, steps and intervention strategies.
7. Provide support and direction to direct service staff.
8. Document to meet the requirements of medical assistance managed care organizations, and LIU18 guidelines.
9. Review, analysis and interpretation of data to determine any changes to goals and objectives included in the ITP or behavioral plan.
10. Implement and adhere to CASSP principles in the provision of mental health services.
11. Maintain contact with families and school personnel to insure communication, collaboration, and the provision of an appropriate level/type of intervention to meet client needs.
12. Seek out clinical supervision from the Director of IBHS- ABA or their designee when aware that the case assigned is beyond the scope of current competencies or has hit an impasse.
13. Participate in CASSP, Interagency, MDE/IEP meetings, as needed/directed.
