POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Behavioral Health Technician / ABA – DD Classroom

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree with experience working with children in a mental health setting.

REPORTS TO: Behavioral Consultant-ABA and Treatment Coordinator of Behavioral Health

JOB GOAL: Performs direct treatment, counseling, and monitorial duties in a supportive role to meet individualized treatment needs of assigned students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Clinical Services in the Classroom

Provide clinical services to clients including:

• Implement interventions that are listed in the treatment plan

• Implement ABA treatment modalities as directed by the BC-ABA

• Participate in team meetings

• Facilitate group therapy

• Perform crisis intervention

• Utilize Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

• Implement behavioral support plans

• Assist clients in transitioning from one task to another

• Teach & model social skills

2. Documentation

Complete clinical documentation including:

• Complete a daily clinical note on all clients

• Compete point sheets

• Data Collection

• All documentation will reflect best practices standards within the provision of mental health services.

3. Coordination of Care/Services:

Collaborate with other team members and agencies including:

• Participate in ISPT meetings, when requested

• Participate in educational meeting, when requested

• Attend team meetings

• Collaborate with Clinical Consultant and Mental Health Professional

• Assist in coordination of transition services

• Link families with resources in the community/school

4. Other Duties

• Will perform other duties as directed by the Treatment Coordinator of Behavioral Health.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and work year to be established by the Behavioral Health Collective Bargaining Agreement.
