Position Description

Position: Behavioral Analysts (BCBA)

Qualifications: Must have a certification as a BCBA from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute. Must be licensed in one of the following fields (Clinical Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, and Behavior Specialist) 

Reports To: Director of Behavioral Health

Location: Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 and other administered service areas

Job Goal: To assist with developing an intense behavioral service treatment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.Design and monitor behavior support plans, discrete trials and any other ABA interventions for clients.

2.Provide evidence-based behavioral therapy for clients.

3.Provide supervision and observation to BC, BC-ABAs, BCBAs, and BHTs. Supervision includes monthly required supervision as well as supervision for purposes of obtaining BCBA required hours.

4.Conduct FBA’s and report finding to families, school staff, etc.

5.Ensure training is occurring in accordance with Chapter 1155 Regulations

6.Assist with monitoring the IBHS agency’s compliance with Chapter 1155 Regulations.

7.To meet on a regular basis to review clinical records and to assess client progress with client staff, and to provide collaborative input concerning all treatment activities (behavioral, academic, therapeutic, and psychiatric).

8.Assist with developing, writing and directing the implementation of a behavior management plan, which addresses the specific needs of an assigned client.

9.Utilize the collaborative treatment planning process, which includes all involved parties in identifying needs, steps and intervention strategies.

10. Provide support, supervision, and direction to direct service staff.

11. Document to meet the requirements of medical assistance managed care organizations, and LIU18 guidelines.

12. Review, analysis and interpretation of data to determine any changes to goals and objectives included in the ITP or behavioral plan.

13. Maintain contact with families and school personnel to ensure communication, collaboration, and the provision of an appropriate level/type of intervention to meet client needs.

14. Oversee all ABA programming and IBHS ABA services.

15. Perform other duties as directed by Director of Behavioral Health.
