Art Teacher – Grades 4–8


Milton Area School District is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and student-centered Art Teacher for Grades 4–8. The successful candidate will develop and deliver engaging art instruction that encourages creativity, artistic expression, skill development, and an appreciation for the visual arts.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Art
  • Clearances in compliance with Pennsylvania School Code
  • TB test and pre-employment drug screening
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide developmentally appropriate instruction across a variety of art media, techniques, and concepts


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art instruction aligned with District curriculum and goals
  • Provide students with experiences using a variety of artistic media, techniques, technology, art history, and aesthetics
  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators
  • Provide opportunities to showcase student work through exhibits, displays, and other school and District activities
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and other school and District activities


Terms of Employment:

186 days, including instructional and professional development days, in accordance with the District calendar. Salary and benefits are established by the Board and the current professional collective bargaining agreement.
