Grade 8 Science Teacher – Long-Term Substitute

November 2, 2026 – June 4, 2027

The Milton Area School District is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and dedicated Grade 8 Science Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute from November 2, 2026, through June 4, 2027.

We are looking for an educator who is committed to creating an engaging learning environment while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of middle school students.

As a Grade 8 Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver standards-aligned science instruction, create meaningful hands-on and inquiry-based learning opportunities, differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, monitor and assess student progress, and use data to guide instructional decisions. You will collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support student success while maintaining a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate appropriate for the position
• Required Pennsylvania clearances, TB test, pre-employment physical, and drug screening
• Must meet all applicable Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements

Position Details:

• Long-term substitute position from November 2, 2026, through June 4, 2027
• Grade 8 Science assignment at Milton Area Middle School
• Compensation in accordance with Milton Area School District's applicable salary and compensation provisions
