Special Education Teacher
The Milton Area School District is seeking compassionate, collaborative, and dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students with diverse learning needs. We are looking for educators who are committed to providing individualized instruction, fostering student growth, and partnering with families and colleagues to help every student reach their full potential.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), serve as a case manager for assigned students, monitor student progress, collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers, and provide specially designed instruction in inclusive and specialized settings. You will also maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements while creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and behavioral success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Required Pennsylvania clearances, TB test, pre-employment physical, and drug screening
- Must meet Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements as a highly qualified teacher in assigned instructional areas
Position Details:
- 186-day school year
