Title Teacher at Seneca County Youth Center (Anticipated 2026-2027)

Reports To Direct Supervisor

Scheduled Days As per employment contract

Job Summary    

Under general direction, provides daily instruction to assigned students, prepares daily instructional lessons for students who do not have lessons from their individual schools or provides daily instruction to assigned students as prepared by their individual schools.      

Primary Duties 

• Helps students with lessons as assigned by teachers at their local school
• Has a full-time assignment as the instructor of children assigned to the Seneca County Youth Center by the Juvenile Court
• Requests records including education plans (i.e., IEP, WEP, 504, etc.) and other information relevant to the students’ matriculation
• Provides appropriate instruction for students who are not provided with assignments from their teacher
