Teacher Job Summary:

Job Description: Seeking a passionate, energetic and physical fitness educator to join the passionate

team at S.C.O.P.E. Academy. Greater Summit County Early Learning Center (S.C.O.P.E.

Academy) is seeking a teacher to create and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of

all learners. S.C.O.P.E. is a K-4 community (charter) school that emphasizes S.T.E.A.M.

principles through Project-Based and inquiry learning. We strive to shift the focus from what

teachers are teaching to what learners are learning. We are sponsored by the Ohio Department

of Education Office of School Sponsorship and our employer is North Central Ohio Educational

Service Center.

The ideal teacher candidate will have a background in delivering engaging physical fitness experiences. The

successful candidate will also possess a keen understanding of how to meet the academic,

social, and emotional needs of a wide-array of early learners. We are looking for a dedicated

professional, with a positive attitude and who wants to provide a superior educational

experience with a team of like-minded educators.

This would be a part-time job (1 day a week, 6.5 hours a day)

-Must have a bachelor's degree or higher

-Prefer a candidate with a current Ohio teaching license/certificate

-Must have previous experience physical fitness to elementary learners.

-Experience in designing and facilitating lessons and activities with clear standards-aligned learning

targets and success criteria

-Ability to effectively assess student learning, implement strategies for student engagement, and

promote student ownership of learning

-Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy

-Demonstrated proficiency in establishing a safe, collaborative classroom environment and culture
