Do you love helping students find their voice, build independence, and experience success?
North Central Ohio ESC is seeking a caring, patient, energetic, and collaborative Student Aide to join our team at the Brubaker Building in Tiffin, Ohio, where we provide educational services to students who reside at the Tiffin Developmental Center.
This is not your typical classroom or school setting. As a Student Aide, you will work alongside teachers and other support staff in small, structured classrooms serving middle school, high school, and transition-age students with autism, social communication needs, and other developmental disabilities. Students may have significant communication, behavioral, physical, and daily living needs that require individualized support throughout the school day.
You will be part of a team focused on helping students develop communication, functional academic, social, and daily living skills while building independence and celebrating individual growth and success.
We are looking for someone who:
At the Brubaker Building, we believe in “Imagining the Potential” of every student. Our program focuses on communication, cognitive growth, social skills, independence, functional academics, and hands-on learning. Students also have access to specialized services, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
You won't be doing this work alone! You'll be joining a supportive, collaborative team committed to creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment where students are supported, challenged, and celebrated as they develop skills for greater independence and success.
Experience working with students with intensive needs is valuable, but it isn't everything. We recognize that some of our best team members are those who bring patience, compassion, dependability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. We value individuals who are ready to grow, work together, and make a difference.
If you are compassionate, dependable, enjoy being part of a team, and want a rewarding position where you can make a meaningful difference in students' lives every day, we would love to hear from you!
