School Treasurer/CFO

Triway Local School District is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of School Treasurer/CFO. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial management of the school district, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting the district's educational goals. 

Areas of Responsibilities: 

● Oversee all aspects of financial management for the school district, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and cash management. 

● Develop and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with district administration and the Board of Education. 

● Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements. 

● Manage the district's investment portfolio and debt obligations. 

● Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making by district leadership and the Board of Education. 

● Supervise and mentor finance department staff, including payroll and accounts payable personnel. 

● Serve as a liaison between the district and auditors, government agencies, and financial institutions. 

● Participate in district strategic planning processes and contribute financial expertise to support the achievement of district goals. 

Qualifications: 

● Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. ● Must hold a valid Ohio school treasurer license. 

● Experience in financial management, preferably in a public school district or government agency. ● Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, budgeting processes, and internal controls. 

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. 

● Proficiency in financial software applications 

● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 

● Demonstrated commitment to the educational mission and values of the school district.
