Qualifications: Possess an Ohio Intervention Specialist License (Highly Qualified in all 4 content areas preferred)
Pass a criminal background check prior to employment
Responsibilities: -- Have the ability to develop and implement an IEP and behavior plans for each child, complementary to his/her educational
strengths and needs as defined through the ETR and IEP process, while providing access to the General Education Curriculum.
-- Have the ability to organize and run an IEP meeting.
-- Have the ability to work with students on social skills, anger and behavior management, appropriate classroom behavior, and
social-emotional learning.
-- Display skills in crisis intervention, including verbal de-escalation, behavior, and academic intervention.
-- Be knowledgeable of the latest instructional methodology.
-- Be creative and student-centered.
-- Be familiar with methods using technology to enhance instruction and assessment.
-- Have experience using data to increase student learning.
-- Have a desire to take an active role in school improvement planning and implementation.
-- Ideal candidates would also be interested in extra-curricular assignments, especially coaching.
